I am excited to be a part of such an outstanding school and learning community! In my years at NPE, I have developed an outstanding respect for the high expectations for excellence on the part of both staff and community. The strong partnership between home-school-community has been the key to the success of our students and school. I encourage you to become an active partner in your child's learning!

The Indiana Department of Education recently released its P.L. 221 School Rankings using the A-B-C-D rating scale for the first time.  NPE's grade was a "B".  I believe in the wise words I learned a number of years ago in the Indiana Principal Leadership Academy:  "As good as you are, what will it take to get even better?"  That is standard I set for our school.  This year's school improvement goals will focus on two areas. The first is strengthening our reading program as we align our practices with the Indiana Reading Framework. The second goal area is enhancing our learning environment and creating a safe place for ALL students to learn, our efforts will focus on developing a stronger focus on making NPE a "Bully-Free" school.
